New Year’s Eve 2018 in the center of Rome

“Non-stop showbill with over 1000 artists and 100 performances to celebrate the arrival of the new year in the city”

It starts on the evening of December 31, 2017 from 21.30 to the Circus Maximus with the great international event 201∞ ROMA ILLUMINA L’INFINITO.

The protagonists are the artists of La Fura dels Baus, a giant mythological moving marionette, the music of the Dimensione Suono Roma dj and other musical surprises and guests on stage.

Children’s New Year’s Day: January 1st from 10.00am to 4.00pm

From 10 am to 4 pm there will be an intense program dedicated especially to children and families. From 10.00 am at the Giardino degli Aranci, a series of activities for the little ones begin.
In the same time slot the Biblioteca Centrale Ragazzi will open its spaces on the ground floor, the Botteghe, and will animate the square in front of it, dedicating reading and games to children, teenagers and families.

A great open-air stage: January 1 from 15.00 to 21.00

The program is very rich in performances from 15.00 to 21.00 on 1 January and can be divided into three areas, which will be constantly animated throughout the afternoon with music, dance, circus art or street theater.

• AREA 1 – PIAZZA DELL’EMPORIO, GARDEN OF THE ORANGES, LUNGOTEVERE AVENTINO, LARGO PETRUCCI
• AREA 2 – PIAZZA BOCCA DELLA VERITA, PIAZZA SANT’ANASTASIA, VIA PETROSELLI, PONTE PALATINO, LUNGOTEVERE PIERLEONI
• AREA 3 – OLD-OLD HOLE, MONTE SAVELLO, TIBERINA ISLAND, LUNGOTEVERE DE ‘CENCI

From 19.30 to 21.00, to celebrate the closing of the Rome Feast, the concert of the Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino will take place on the main stage in Piazza Bocca della Verità.
